Hey all!!  I have been gone for a couple of years. I had a huge life changing event, and am no longer in WV. I am now in Maryland. Talk about a huge hiccup. But I am not seeing much activity on here. How is everything???

Maing a Wreath out of natural materials

Making a wreath with natural materials that can be found in the backyard will be a great craft activity for children of all ages. The end result will be a unique wreath that can be displayed on the front door or given as a gift to friends and family.

Indoor worm composting

Composting is easier than you think. I know most of you are worried about worms in the house and the odor of compost heaps. However, it is possible to set aside a comfortable, odor-free place in your house for red worms! In a proper compost container, red worms will just do what they are best at: eat scraps and “release” a wonderful compost that can be used for planting trees and spring!   • acorns
  • caterpillars
  • ants
  • dandelions
  • sprouting tulips
  • y-shaped twigs
  • oak, maple, or hickory leaves, or whatever types may be found in the yard
  • blooming ground cover
  • bird feathers
  • moss
  • animal tracks
  • pussy willows
