I wish to be friends with unlimited number of Earth Scouts Community and being able to send a request. What restriction is implied to limit friendships or contacts among us? What is the reason - I cannot tell since I am not elitist nor selective. I just love you all.
It is respectfully asked why I am ACCEPTED on this ning?
What is it what has to be done to being PART of?
Why Separative wish ~ while inclusiveness is shallow and slow and harmonious.
My proposal as of solution has to be known in the awareness that SEPARATION sets forth the unwanted for which following the Mother Earth now entering UNITY, the matter of previous living Duality has no place in the future of what is coming in place beyond 2012.
There is the challenge: how can we ACCEPT everything?
Now is the time and the meaning to be seen as a whole:
RESPECTFULNESS with the voice of another,
leads now me to accept the "Elite World of Planet Earth Souts.org",
for where I am now to follow my own lead:
Great! --- NO! ~ I AM IN ACCEPTANCE OF THAT WHAT YOU WISH,
thought I do not realize the RESONANCE of being "elitist".
I like the Earth and its Scouts to All Embracing Loving to all That There Is! HARMONY is the wish of Mother Earth - that RESONATES fine in the field of my endeavor, LOVE and ACCEPTANCE is LIGHT to that what is felt now in all along the concerning editing evolution. For I now will lead the experience in a TRUE KNOWING of that what is to be SAID: always RECEPTIVE and ACCEPTING one another. No resonating. Yes resonating. Yet accepting.
Thank you for all the LOVE, PEACE, LIGHT you spread.
I'll be starting up again this coming week. I had one "tent raising" session this winter in my living room. So fun! I have 6 boys in the group and need to enroll everybody. I wanted to be able to cart everyone around so I bought a minivan today! (I needed a new car and kept the earth scouts in mind when car shopping:) We are really excited that spring is here and we can spend time together outside once again.
You had asked me awhile back about my experience with setting up our group and the tax ID. Sorry I'm just getting back to you now. :)
We changed meeting spots last year and as we were looking for a new place we ran into places asking us to demonstrate our not-for-profit status in order for us to receive a discounted cost for the meeting space. Without the tax ID many of the places charged a significantly higher fee for the space.
We eventually found a library that just believed us on our word and didn't ask us for any documented evidence but still gives us the discount.
I hope this information helps.
Thanks so much for your hard work with getting this board alive again!
I am hoping this isn't a terribly ignorant question..but here goes. I'm getting ready to start my Scouts group here and I'm really kinda confused on how the group actually earns the badges. I understand 4 badges have been created thus far, what all do the have to do to earn a badge? Maybe if I could hear a few examples of how others do it..how long is one Earth aspect worked on before the badge is earned? We are working with ages 6-9. Thank you for all/any advice!!
No Worries! We're actually doing pretty good. Being involved as a family, we've been able to be flexible with scheduling and how we're addressing each component. :) My kiddo is really enjoying things and working hard towards acquiring the badges! I homeschool, so I've wrapped Earth Scouts solidly into our curriculum. We are very outdoorsy people, highly involved in nature events, preservation, conservation, etc. so the foundation and beliefs of Earth Scouts has worked very well for us.
I am so glad you like my blog. Thank you for posting it, and thank you for knowing how. I am still learning all about blogs and all the widgets and ways. Mainly, I know what I want to say, and blogs are a great way for people to express themselves. Especially if you are homeschooling. My blog is like a reflection of where I have been, which in turn helps me decide where we are going. Thanks again for the support!
Hi and Thanks for the welcome. We started our Earth Scouts group in Flagstaff, Arizona in September of 2010. The kids are first graders and their siblings of all ages at Pine Forest, a Waldorf-inspired charter school.
I would love some ideas for our meetings. So far, our meetings included nature walks around the school, fort-building in a snow flurry up on the mountain, cleanup on our Adopt-An-Avenue which is on our school's street and the City just put up our Earth Scouts sign, and making bird-feeders and bookmarks. The Flagstaff Fire Department is coming to our next meeting to talk about fire safety and tour their rig. It's been really fun and I think, inspiring, for all involved.
Any ideas for upcoming meetings would be great. Mostly we'll be staying on campus. We have a classroom that we meet in and also have outdoor school spaces available to us. There's a little nature walk we can take in which we walk next to the railroad tracks, so it's not exactly a perfect situation, but there are lots of plants to talk about and native seeds to collect.
Yes, this is my blog. I would be honored for you to pass along my rss feed. I am having fun documenting our journey. I would like to leave you a private comment. I will figure out how to do that momentarily. Thank you.
Your picture looks like the old beautiful one-room schools. I love mixed-age, one room school concepts. It breeds a circular-teaching concept. Teach the kids, then the oldest teach the younger kids and so on. www.wisdomkeeper.wordpress.com
